The COVID-19 pandemic has changed many aspects of our lives in recent months.  This short online 'video conference' course has been introduced by the RYA to ensure you can refresh your First Aid skills whilst the country is in lockdown.  On completion of the course, you will be issued with a letter confirming your eligibility to extend your RYA First Aid certificate by 12 months.

Topics Covered

  • Primary survey of a casualty and care scene.
  • Management of a casualty who is breathing normally
  • Management of an unresponsive casualty who is not breathing normally, including the latest Resuscitation Council guidelines for conducting CPR during the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • Managing bleeding.
  • Recognising and managing shock.
  • Near drowning.
