This short online theory course provides a basic introduction to navigation & safety for anyone who goes to sea in a boat or canoe.
It takes roughly 6 to 8 hours to complete the course but you can work through the different modules at your own pace.
It's also a good taster of the more comprehensive Day Skipper theory course.

RYA Theory Course

The Day Skipper theory course is a comprehensive introduction to navigation, suitable for anyone thinking of doing the Day Skipper practical course. It's available to beginners, though some prior boating experience is helpful.

Coastal Skipper & Yachtmaster Offshore
Advanced theory course in navigation & passage planning
This course takes your theory knowledge to the standard required for both the RYA Yachtmaster Coastal and Yachtmaster Offshore practical exams. The course is taught by North West expert John Parlane, Yachtmaster Instructor & Examiner.
