Navigation and Seamanship theory courses teach you the essentials to be able to navigate safely and with good seamanship.
They take you right from the beginning with a basic 2-day "Essential Navigation and Seamanship" course, through a 6-day, Day Skipper course, followed by a Coastal Skipper/Yachtmaster Offshore course and ending with a 5-day "Yachtmaster Ocean" theory course.
