Seamanship Skills
This is a course to consider after you have become proficient in the basic skills and techniques you will have learnt in Levels 1,2 & 3. It will broaden your knowledge of sailing and teach you more advanced sailing techniques and manoeuvres. It is also suitable for established sailors wanting to progress further with their boat handling skills.
Practical Topics: Towing, sailing backwards, more advanced anchoring techniques, ropework and road trailers.
Theory and Background: Introduction to charts and important symbols, tide tables and tidal streams, Beaufort Wind Scale and rules of the road.
Course cost: 2 - Day RYA sailing course - £175
