Fun Sails are for everyone!
If you have ever wondered what it is like to catch the wind in the sails and to be at one with the elements as the boat glides through the water; this is your chance.
It has been many years since boat trips were available on Morecambe Bay. The two hour Fun Sail is your opportunity to give sailing a try, knowing that you are in the hands of a highly regarded and experienced Yachtmaster Instructor. John is passionate about sailing and wants to show you how to have fun and be safe in tidal waters.
'Lily' our 22ft. keelboat (small yacht) is ideal for adults. She is bigger than a dinghy so there is much more room in the cockpit (place where you sit). She can take up to 5 people. Generally though, John restricts the numbers to 3 or 4. Unlike a dinghy, Lily doesn't capsize when you make a mistake! She is very forgiving. You stay in this boat at all times, so wetsuits are not needed. We provide the outer waterproofs, if you need them and you must wear one of our automatically inflatable lifejackets.
A small tender (ferry boat) will take you from the shore to Lily. It's all part of the fun.
If you want to do more sailing, we can teach you and if you like, you can also join the Yacht Club and use their boats on Sundays. Sailing is one of the best ways of getting away from it all for a short time and....it's 'green'.
