RYA Day Skipper Theory
6-day Intensive Course or Evening Classes
As a comprehensive introduction to chartwork, meteorology, the "rules of the road" and the basics of seamanship, this course is ideally suited to those who have some practical experience of sailing and would now like to learn how to navigate. We recommend that clients become proficient at the skills taught in this course before attempting the Coastal Skipper & Yachtmaster Offshore course.
The course also represents the required level of theory knowledge for candidates on the RYA's Day Skipper Practical course.
Assessment: Two assessment papers.
Cost: £265 (includes RYA course pack). Our smaller class sizes allow for more individual tuition than is generally possible at larger centres.
Venue: Morecambe & Heysham Yacht Club.
