On-line CEVNI Test for £20
The CEVNI Code is like the Highway Code but for inland European waterways instead. Passing the CEVNI test allows you to gain a CEVNI endorsement to your ICC certificate.
If you need to study the rules and symbols, there are several books available listed on the right.
You can do the practice tests as many times as you like, before attempting the actual test.
The CEVNI test is a short multiple-choice exam with two parts. Part 1 is about buoyage and Part 2 is on sound signals, lights & shapes. Each part has 15 questions. You must get 11 answers correct in each part to pass. You can have 2 attempts at the real test.
There is a time limit of 20 seconds for each question. You'll get used to that though, when you do the mock tests, which will help you to decide whether or not you are ready to take the final test.
When you pass the test you can download your certificate and send it to the RYA with your ICC certificate and passport photo. There is no charge for the update.
You must be over 16 years old to take the CEVNI test.
